My (21M) girlfriend (22F) and I finally hit a crossroad

My girlfriend and I have been dating for about 6 months. I love her and she loves me. Recently I have had thoughts/feelings of immaturity. Part of me has been thinking about taking a break or even temporarily breaking up. It is nothing with her personally, she is amazing and attractive and sweet and funny but a part of me feels like I miss being single.

I know this makes me sound like an A-hole but hear me out. I’m not sure if it’s because I am young or in college or both but anytime I hangout with my guy friends, they all talk about beautiful women. I always feel left out as I’m faithful to my girlfriend and wouldn’t even speak of anything remotely close to cheating.

I just miss being able to talk to people freely and hangout with whoever I want, whenever I want without my girlfriend getting jealous or asking questions when my intent is never foul. whenever I start dating someone, I lose almost all of my friends that are women.

I know that if I was 27 or 28 years old I would settle down with my girlfriend I have now as she’s great. But the immaturity/want to be a “free spirit” takes over my mind now.

What is the best way to approach this? I know that if we broke up, we’d stay friends but if she dated somebody else I’d be heart broken because I truly do love her but it’s just not the right time. I feel like there’s no right answer in this.
