CMV: I want people to understand this is the truth and how you need to think morally about this situation would love some feedback

Here is a logical back and forth about how to feel on this subject. Starting with why should I feel sympathy for someone who doesnt feel it for others.

Them: Because you can feel sympathy for people even if you dislike them. It's not that hard, you should try it. It actually feels good to let go of your hate. Hate hurts you more than it hurts anyone else.

Someone else: Charlie Kirk didn't even believe in empathy, he actively spoke against having empathy for other people, so acting like he needs all kinds of empathy from everyone all of a sudden is a bit ridiculous.

Them: Yeah so you should be just as bad as he was. Good call.

Me: And here is the disagreement. Killing in self defense is not "being just as bad" warring with a country invading you is not "being just as bad" bullying your bully is not being "just as bad" all of these have the same goal in mind. To get them to stop.

You are disillusioned by people like Micehlle obama "when they go low we go high" in a perfect world this is exactly what you should do. BUT in our world people take advantage of that. What we are doing is both effective and morally as correct as those 3 other examples. I dont disagree with your morals but mine are better for this world.

Imo this is an important distinction people dont understand even tho they do for the other 3 examples I gave. You are never being just as bad as the aggressor it is always self defense. Yes you can go too far but we are doing exactly what charlie kirk would do and republicans would do and have done if this was any left wing politician. You make them realize this sucks then they stop their is no other way to stop a bully.
