YouTube Repair Videos

I saw a mechanic working with a service advisor and he looked up a repair on YouTube and it got me interested .

Why look it up on YouTube? How often does it happen? What kinda of repairs benefit from looking them up?

Just curious. I appreciate any answers. Thanks.
