Welcoming the end of old art divides/rivalries

General Discussion

Looking at art socials these days, it feels like people are so much more supportive and less nit-picky. Nobody is complaining about someone tracing "too liberally," or fighting over how oil is better than acrylic and stuff like that. Remember when digital art being viewed as "not real art" was a fairly mainstream opinion? Similar things were happening with 3d modeling instead of sculpting, or "cheating" with airbrushes instead of hand painting everything.

I'm not sure if this change is because digital art has just been around longer or has gotten more popular, or if A.I. generated art has become a unifying evil, but either way, it feels like everyone got more understanding and less prone to gate-keeping.
