Easiest way to make PAL MK1 Saturn region-free?

Hi there,

I'm new to the Saturn, and own a PAL MK1 model. What is the easiest way to make it region-free, so I can buy and play US and Japanese games?

Also, will these games actually display on a 50Hz CRT Trinitron TV?
