Hey Pa,

I’ve been looking at some social work programs (msw) for when I get out of the Army:

• UNLV – I like the trauma focus and emphasis on veteran support/inclusion.
• UT Austin – I like their military mental health concentration.
• University of Houston – I like the variety of concentrations and the diversity of the city.
• University of Washington (Seattle) – I like their focus on military mental health.

Each school has a practicum with the VA, so it would be easy to get my hours while still working in military mental health. Plus, each program would be fully covered by the GI Bill, and they’re all in cities I’d be fine living in for a while.

I’m still working on my MPP and enjoying the coursework—it’s similar to what I used to do:

• End-to-end data product development
• Communicating with stakeholders
• Mapping out processes

I’ll probably also do my MBA since it’s free, haha.

The plan is to keep working in data full time and be a BHO part time.
