Criticism about left leaning creators reacting to the Charlie Kirk situation

It’s bothering me that I am seeing so much discourse online about left learning creators showing emotion over the Charlie Kirk shooting. My guess is that non-public people are thinking “why are they sad, he was a bad person and this type of remorse hasn’t been shown for other similar situations”.

What I am seeing is that all of these creators have been shouting for change out of fear and understanding that this would/could/might happen. And now it happened.

These public figures and everyone else in the world have seen, via multiple POVs, the gruesome reality of what they knew could happen. It is the very real life horror that these creators have been hyper aware of. It’s terrifying and it’s now a reality.

It is different in some ways from the other assassinations we have seen as he was not a politician, and he was not stalked in private. This was a public execution, live in front of an audience, documented on video, and shared minutes after it occurred.

This did not need to happen and the weight of the irony is heavy on these more progressive creators bc I’m sure they’ve played it out in their minds before with themselves in his place. This image will never leave us.
