Non-EU citizen, non-German company, what visa to apply to stay in Germany?

I'm currently in Germany on Chance Card visa and saw an American company with a position I quite like. Although it's possible I won't end up with this particular one, I still want to ask in advance just in case I'm in a similar situation later on.

As a non-EU citizen who really wants to live in Germany, if I get hired by a non-German company, what visa should I apply to for staying in Germany? Would blue card/work visa still be suitable in this case? Should I go for self-employed visa? What else except for marrying someone and staying here?
