Trying to learn how to be more stealthy — any tips?
Hi, this is my first post ever and I know it might sound random, but I’m trying to learn how to be more stealthy.
I once tried to apply some of the foundations of Nanba walking, but I don’t think it really suits me. Over time, I’ve naturally started experimenting with balancing my weight to minimize the sound of my steps. Sometimes it actually works — I can walk without making much noise at all.
One challenge is that I always carry a backpack or tote bag with a bunch of stuff in it (I’m Dominican, so yes, that includes a domino set 😂). Normally it makes a ton of noise because the pieces keep clashing, but I’ve found little ways to mute it while I walk.
I also meditate and try to use energy + intention to “conceal” my presence. It’s not for anything bad — honestly, I just find it hilarious when I manage to sneak up on friends without them noticing. It feels like some anime type of skill, and I want to keep improving.
So far, that’s my progress. I’d love any tips or teachings on how to keep practicing this skill. I’ll also share updates whenever I discover new tricks.
Can anyone help me improve?
