where can i write where people will see it ? contests, digital clubs, etc

so i’ve been writing for a long time but i stopped a while ago because of mental health matters. i’ve gotten back into it and want to be more active in the community. im writing two very long stories, im wanting to look into getting published or self published when i finish them.

i want to post my writings but i have no idea where to start. there is a library near my home that holds writing events but that feels so scary with it being in person and all. any and all advice is accepted and appreciated, thanks all.
