Driving licence Query

Hello petrol heads!

I'm currently in Pakistan and I have a valid driving license for about 4 years now.

I'll be travelling to UAE soon, I have an Emirates ID and residency visa.

I wanted to know if I'm eligible to drive in Dubai with an international license if I'm on residence visa and if not, are there any advantages of having a valid driver's licence of Pakistan?

I've heard something about a golden try for foreign licence holders where we can give one driving test and if we pass, we'll get the license. (Not sure how this works, I've just heard about it a while back)

Kindly guide me with this.
