Why do people hate San Andres on Xbox 360?

Recently I decided to try finally completing my favorite of the 3d trilogy from my childhood. Initially I started playing on the ps2 but quickly found the experience to be brutal. The game is so dark I can’t see anything and the gunplay is god awful even with the auto aim. I also owned the Xbox 360 remaster so I decided to switch over to that version and have found the experience to be way better. Having the ability to change the controls is huge and makes driving feel way better. I can also see further than 5 feet in front of my face now and the darkness issue isn’t there anymore. I see a lot of people online saying this is one of the worst versions of the game and it kind of left me confused. So far the only drawback I’ve seen is there are a few of my favorite cheat codes missing like flying cars but besides that I feel like this is a great way to experience the game especially as someone who has spent more time with the later HD games.
