I’m looking for advice on doing better base face makeup. I did a full beat consistently during my teens/early 20s, but it’s been a few years since I’ve routinely done all that. I’m getting married in October and I’m doing my own makeup so I’ve been trying out different things. I just feel like my base is lacking; not great coverage, doesn’t last, settling in my forehead lines, sometimes sticking to every bit of texture, often separating even immediately after I apply. I also don’t know the difference between cream bronzer or powder, which is better for wearing all day for my wedding? Both? I’m open to new techniques or even new products for my skin type. I would rather not spend a ton, but I’m willing to go a little more than drugstore prices for a good foundation/concealer if needed :)

I’ve included pictures in different lighting. My eyes and lips are not going to be the same for the wedding, those are just what I happened to be wearing while practicing my base.

Skin type: very acne-prone, combo (oily in T zone and eye area) , probably dehydrated, but I’m working on finding a heavier moisturizer that doesn’t break me out.

Skin prep: I don’t wash my face in the morning. I just spray with hypochlorous acid and use moisturizer (LRP double repair). I won’t be wearing face sunscreen for my wedding so I’m not adding that extra layer while practicing now.

Makeup products in pictures: Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation in 110 and 118, elf halo glow setting powder in light, Maybelline Matte and Poreless translucent setting powder, bronzer/contour is LunatiCK cosmetics, I used concealer in the second picture only which was Milani Conceal and Perfect, but I didn’t like it. Second picture also has Milani baked highlighter. I use Milani setting spray between layers.

I mix my foundation colors on the back of my hand and dot it on my face. I feel like brushes make it look streaky so I use a clean, damp sponge. When I did concealer, I applied that where needed before foundation.

TIA!!!
