Is it safe to come in October beginning?

Hi everyone

I am trying to plan a bachelor trip in October first weekend, and wanted to ask - is it overall safe to do so. Each weather website simply states it is hurricane season but looking at the tours, hotels, it seems everything is in full season - so would love time guidance.
