Proof of funds for study visa with scholarship – is the scholarship letter enough?

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for a study permit in Canada. I already have a scholarship / funding letter that covers tuition and stipend.

My questions are:

1.	Is the letter alone enough for the visa to be accepted?
2.	If not, and I don’t have a personal bank account yet, is it okay if I open a new bank account and deposit around 2,000 CAD to show I can cover the first month before my stipend arrives?
