Just finished watching Travis’s death, I’m on a rewatch so I knew it was coming and everything. But man it was so much worse watching this time around.

I understand Cliff Curtis wanted out,but there had to be a better way to do. Killing the tritagonist of the show in a meaningless and pretty fucking lame way turns me off to the idea of watching the show after this.

Travis’s character was just now becoming great, him evolving from being the good guy to the man who stomps two frat bros heads in for killing his son. The kind who killed 30 walkers gladiator style on his own in just the last episode.

To just kill him like this, it practically screams “actors gotta go”.

I feel like any reasonable person watching this show would agree that Travis was by far the most interesting character at the point of his death. Losing Chris and starting to lose himself, doing all this cool shit, he was approaching that season 5 Rick grimes type arc.

I’m still gonna keep watching though, gonna tough it out because I know this season is great besides this. BUT FUCK, SHIT, THIS SUCKS.

As of lately I’ve been on a walking dead binge. I’ve watched the entire series, read all of the comics, and am to season 3 of fear over the entire summer. This is the worst death. This is the equivalent of killing Daryl in early season 2 to a random Walker bite.

Even during the “golden age” of Fear, there is still just shit writing. Daniel suddenly going psycho, Nick believing Celia, Travis just dying out of nowhere for no reason. There is still a lot of good but the bad is noticeable even back in the golden days.

This death is awful
