To that kutri who thought she was getting stared at, at the irani cafe.!
I’m getting married this Sunday, against my wishes. Since my ex and I were from different castes, we had to mutually end things. Knowing we wouldn’t be able to meet again, we decided to see each other one last time at the Irani Café — the same place where we had first met.
Unfortunately, my younger brother tagged along, so we couldn’t sit together. Still, as planned, we chose seats facing each other with just one table in between. We didn’t need words — our eyes did all the talking.
Then a couple arrived and sat right in front of us, blocking our view. After a while, this aunty randomly decided to switch seats. For some reason, that worked in our favor since she was about 4’1'' tall and no longer blocked our view. We quietly had our chai, exchanged a few last glances, and then went our separate ways.
Later in the evening, I came across a couple of posts. First — “Baby, you weren’t at fault for the drama that aunty created.” And second — to the “shorter-than-my-heel” lady, please have some sense about who is looking where. Maybe get your eyes tested for chakhna-test, Sunil pal kahi ki.
