Inconsistent distances at the same driving range

I have been noticing some very strange variances in my carry distances at the driving range I go to.

I went yesterday and for instance, a well struck but not “muscled” gap wedge was carrying 115-125 yds. I went today to the exact same range (although not the same bay) and the same club with the exact same swing was carrying 100-105 yards. I Was able to absolutely muscle one to 113 yards but only after a few tries.

My only reasonable explanations are difference in weather. Today there was more of a notable cross-wind and bad rain vs less of a cross wind and not such bad rain yesterday.

Does a cross wind also have a large impact on carry distance? I would have thought it would just affect the shape a bit more.

Aside from this, the only other thing I can think of is if there are inconsistencies in the launch monitors from one bay to the next. Does anyone have any knowledge or insight on this? Or maybe somebody has experienced the same thing.
