Question for the Car People of NYC (Garage)

Hey NYC. There is a garage in Weehawken, NJ which is a half hour from my apartment and seems to be asking $175 a month for storage. Has anyone used this garage before?

Context: I currently live on the UWS and have been dying to buy a car for a couple years now. I want something fun to drive occasionally, take trips out of NYC, enjoy the roads near Harriman State Park. Sporty with a stickshift but room for my dog and GF (think Golf GTI or WRX). This purchase would be a toy more or less. I'd like to invest in the garage storage to preserve the value of the car and avoid theft. If anyone has a "stupid/impractical" car and wants to advise on their experience with garages, I would love to hear from you. Hoping if the costs of the Insurance + garage are under $300/month, it might be justifiable.
