New to filing claim

Hello all! I filed my first claim in July and just had my first appointment with the C&P today. I had no idea what i was doing when filing so I just filed for a few things that were bothering me. Mainly I had a Hiatal Hernia surgery while active snd its starting to bother me again. She was awesome appointment was done in about 3 minutes. But she did ask why I hadn't filed for all the other issues she noticed in my file. Some I was unaware I could file for. So my question is should I filing for more now or wait till I get my rating then filing again?
