Lack of Multi-Select Icon on Launcher is the Kick of AOSP!

I don’t get why this essential feature is missing on AOSP. iOS has it, Android skin has it, even desktop systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux all support multi-selecting icons. Why doesn’t the Pixel launcher offer this basic function?

It feels strange that Google focuses on advanced AI features, but something as simple as multi-select is overlooked. This would really improve home screen organization, especially when moving or editing multiple apps at once.
