Corporate gays: do you feel more validated from straight men in higher positions?

Work in corporate America and just got off a meeting with our CTO and COO, both straight white men who praised my work like crazy. They don’t know and can’t tell I’m gay but deep down I feel so validated somehow because 2 typical corporate straight men in leadership positions are on my side!

Idk why or what this is called but maybe it’s got more to do with their positions of power rather than their heterosexuality
