2020 Santa Fe Transmission issue-solenoid vs full transmission replacement?

We have a 2020 SEL 2.4L Santa Fe, bought new in 2020 and now out of manufacturer warranty at 143,000 miles (single car family who roadtrips and commutes). For the past couple months we’ve noticed some increasing of what seems to be harsh automatic shifting between 20-30 mph. The check engine light has come on twice but went off by itself within a day—code P0741 I believe. We brought it to the dealer who says it is either the solenoid ($1300 fix) or the whole transmission ($5000 plus tax). They don’t know which and are leaning towards encouraging us to replace the whole transmission. Does anyone have experience or thoughts on this? Of course like many others, this economy is tough for us and I hate to make the wrong call either way. Thank you in advance!
