Patio drainage
So my home was built with a patio that slopes to the house in the back. There is a small channel drain right up against the slab but it is overwhelmed every year and it really doesn't have a way to run off. I'd like to divert this water somehow and keep it away from the house as it has gotten close to coming in the house the last two years. Any temporary ideas? In a perfect world im going to rip out the patio and repour, but there are alot of variables such as a pool (which is probably why they did it that way to begin with) and im just looking to get by for another winter. Fortunately we're a pretty dry climate.
I've thought straw wattles might divert some of the water? Lay it out a few feet from the house and try to divert to grass/dirt? But idk if the wattle would basically just filter and allow the water through.
Ideas?
