Chapter One of the Travellers Rest Story Is Here!
Hello everyone! I’m back to tell you a bit about how these past months have gone, the highlights of the latest update, and the direction the studio wants to take regarding future updates.

2025 has been a year marked by the launch of online multiplayer (the first major patch of the year). We’ve been fine-tuning it for quite some time, and after multiplayer came the Animal Shelter update. With all that done, we finally had the green light to do what many of you have been asking for: to fully focus on the story of Travellers Rest.
This update brings with it the first chapter of the story, where you’ll get to meet the main antagonists. I won’t go into too many details to avoid spoilers, but I must say I really liked the work the design team did both in terms of the characters and the content.
Alongside the story chapter, about a week ago we released some improvements to the tutorial (it’s now shorter, we listened to the feedback some of you shared) and a few Quality of Life tweaks (visual indicators of the state of drinks inside the aging barrels and a pretty cool new UI for crops). Also, if you play with a controller, you’ll now be able to split stacks much more easily.
With all that said, we’re already working on the next content. While I can’t give you a specific release date, I can tell you that we’ve hired two new developers to try to speed up the release of updates without losing quality along the way.
From now on, updates will be focused on releasing the remaining story chapters and expanding (and wrapping up) the map of Rilia. This doesn’t mean that no new recipes or cosmetics will be coming, but since all the systems are already in place, our intention is to complete the story while also adding the social features of the game (something many of you are waiting for).
All of this information will be shared in more detail when we release the new roadmap (we’re working on it). We know many of you check the Trello, but we want to provide a more detailed and better explained roadmap in the near future.
With nothing more (for now) to share, I want to thank you as always for being so active in the Reddit community. I’ll be reading your comments. See you next time!
