FMLA

I know I won't get any definite answer until I apply to Sedgwick but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I work overnight, full time. My son is 7 years old, autistic and non verbal. My mom has severe COPD and is 90% bed bound. My sister has been helping care for them working around my work and sleep schedule but she has just been hospitalized with sepsis in her blood, possibly her organs and will be in the hospital for at least the next week.

I was thinking of applying for FMLA but I'm not sure if all these random things will add up to an actual leave. I'm just not sure if Sedgwick looks at it as only having to partially care for multiple family members or if they say you need to 100% care for them to qualify. My son does go to school in the day so it helps when he's there but I'm just not sure how strict Sedgwick is.

For documentation would I need to get something separate from each of their doctors?

After 2 days of trying to manage this and working I had a mental breakdown today and I just don't know if I can do this for at least the next week and still keep working.
