Attending a mosh…is it necessary to be a part of the pup community?

I’m pretty new to the pup community. Where I live, there is a local pup group and they have moshes about once a month. I find myself feeling uneasy/excited to attend because sometimes, the thought of anyone aside from my handler touching me makes me uneasy, but I want to meet other pups. I do like pets and scratches from others. To be a part of the scene, is it necessary to attend moshes? Is it frowned upon if you attend and don’t mosh around with other pups? I’m just trying to learn some etiquette. Thanks!
