What do you have your UH-1H axis sensitivity at?
Hiyo, noob here
I'm starting to lose my mind slowly, so naturally I decided to take to reddit as one does when all else fails.
My HOTAS are 2 VKB joysticks, one is set up like a thrust/collective slider on the y-axis and the other one is just a stick. They have performed wonderfully in any games i have played so far.
I bought the UH-1H helicopter and have put like +-10 hours actual in-game time just doing nothing but trying to hover. Although i've seen some improvement, I just can't get used to the hyper-sensitivity of the aircraft. Is this normal? I started out with linear tuning on all axis, but when pressing a button on my stick I can't keep the damn thing steady. The force of the input moves the stick too much. Even without pressing anything it really feels quite impossible to keep the beautiful bastard under control.
I tried putting a curve on it near the center of all kinds of values like 10 or 20 or 25, and though it feels less sensitive when hovering, I can't get used to the non-linear nature of the stick...
So i'm just curious:
Am I just poop currently and do i just need to suck it up and put more hours in with the linear tuning? Or are you guys flying with a different tuning that makes it easier to get used to? Currently they both feel equally shit to me. A less sensitive linear tuning would, to my estimation, seem exactly what i'd like.
Thanks to anyone taking the time to help a brother out
Yours truly,
~ Dyl
