10/10 game thank you Team Cherry
I played hollow knight and found it super simple to complete and once you get to about midway with the game it opens up so much and becomes an absolute blast to play. The endgame dlc bosses like the radiant are disgustingly hard but fair and were amazing to fight.
Silk song starts i feel abut halfway through difficulty wise and ramps the difficulty from there, its such a pleasant feeling with so many games being so piss easy and unenjoyable to play the only critic i have is none, the game is balanced and completely fair. The hit boxes are perfect, you stand in the way of a boss yo SHOULD take a lot of damage. Touch damage should hurt imo. And once you master that the game sense you have is phenomenal. If you are touched by a boss, you failed the most BASIC boss mechanic of the fight. The fights are fair and i found that once i learned how they operated i was able to go back and beat them after fully learning and i don't really remember any bosses that i felt were unfair or unrewarding to fight during my time playing. Including Gloat, and both versions of the beast fly which i still don't understand how anyone who played up to that point in the game struggled with.
The platforming is a absolute blast and some of the more challenging portions will be in my memory as a highlight of gaming forever. I explored a Ton, and i mean a ton so i was able to stumble into act 3 pretty quickly after a first clear, and I felt the pace was perfect. Act 3 didn't hold any punches either and i got to say was some of my favorite moments in gaming, period. Im so stoked i got to experience this game and i cant wait for another in the future. In the mean time i will finish gathering the items i missed, but i don't think there is much left at this point but i will be looking, as i enjoyed this experience blind, and enjoy booting it up daily after work to explore for new stuff.
Hope you all had as much fun as i did, because i haven't been this involved in a game in a very long time. I want more. Cheers friends!
