Will U.S. AppleCare+ with Theft & Loss cover me if my iPhone is stolen in the UK?

My friend is bringing me an iPhone from the U.S. and is adding AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss there. I live in the UK. if my phone ever gets stolen here, will I be able to file a Theft and Loss claim in the UK under that U.S. policy?
