Baby bump and bumps on the road
I never thought pregnancy would teach me this much about myself, especially about my health. At first, I only expected the usual changes: the growing bump, the cravings, the mood swings. But along the way I also discovered things about my body that I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t gotten pregnant.
The baby bump also came with unexpected bumps on the road—health concerns I didn’t think I’d face so young. It hasn’t been easy, but part of me believes I really had to go through this. Maybe pregnancy was the only way my body could reveal these hidden issues to me.
It’s scary at times, but also strangely grounding. I’m learning to listen to my body more and to take care of it in ways I never thought about before. Maybe this is part of a bigger picture: both a challenge and a gift at the same time.
