If you are having consistent contractions but little pain... Still go to the hospital

I have a high pain tolerance and was hesitant to go to the hospital because I just wasnt having much pain at all with my contractions despite them being about 3 1/2 minutes apart. I live an hour away from the hospital and everything made it seem like they would just send me home.

They thought about it! Because i seemed so unbothered, they were about to send me home but my midwife insisted that check how dilated i was first. I was 7 cm dialated.

Thank goodness i went in as well as baby had her cord wrapped around her neck three times and i needed a vacuum intervention for her delivery.

If you arent sure- go. If they try to send you home after checking heart rates and contractions, ask them for a cervical check.

They say youll know. If i didn't get checked, i didn't know i was in labour until 9 cm.
