Kaede arc?

I am currently reading the light novel after watching the anime several times, and i’m on kaedes arc. Did the anime adaptation put the part where kaede gets her memories back after shoukos arc? I don’t remember seeing kaede’s school counsellor in season 1, only until the sister venturing out movie do i remember her making an appearance. did they cut off some of the light novel and adapt it into the second movie and only kept the part where sakuta cries and runs out of the hospital, and meets shouko? (im at page 180 chapter 5 of the 5th volume Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Home Alone)
