Where is my package

A package was shipped to me from one state away on the 8th. Generally, from that area it arrives in two days. They set the delivery date for the 11th. The 11th came and the only update was that it had departed the original location and was in transit. Then it changed to still in transit to next destination but arriving late.

Called usps customer service and the recording said it's expected by the end of the day today, but the mail already came and it did not. Online, it still says in transit to next facility but arriving late?

What's accurate and what's not?
