Traditions for ancestor specific holydays

Hey family! Are there any Hoodoo customs or even any that are just personal/special to you for birthdays or transition days of our ancestors? My grandmother’s birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I’d like to prepare. We usually go to her gravesite and I might get some dirt this time around if I’m able to connect and get her blessing at my new altar that I’ve set up.
