NYC Special Carry Permit Timeline

I applied for my NYC CCW special carry permit on March 11, 2025, and completed my interview and fingerprinting on June 9, 2025, but didn’t hear anything after that. I emailed the NYPD on September 2, about a week before my six-month mark, but didn’t get a response, so I followed up with another email on September 7. On September 12, I finally received a response saying I’d been assigned an investigator and that they’ll contact me if they need anything form me. For folks that have been through this before, how long did it take for your approval once an investigator was assigned, and how long after that did your license arrive in the mail? Thanks in advance for any insight!
