What's the best insect repellent in a pump spray instead of aerosol?

I have been using Off Deep Woods with DEET. It works great. What I don't like is the aerosol can seems to empty really fast and it's impossible not to breathe it in. I stand in the driveway to apply it and I hold my breath until I walk back into the garage and I feel it burn my throat when I take a breath. I found some pump spray bottles on Amazon but they seem very expensive at $15.
