Men in clinical jobs, anyone feel a bit isolated?

❔ Discussion

Every clinical job I work I am basically the only male.

In my one job working with an older crowd, I kinda feel bad but I also understand when patients prefer a female caregiver or they have to be one of the gay dudes.

In some cases I know being a guy helps tho ex. some men want other men, and some women also actually like a man as well. Like from what my coworkers told me, some patients they usually have a lot of trouble with were super easy bc I was there.

Also, I hate the drama, feels like I am joining a reality TV show, when I’m the only guy and all the women feel like they have their cliques and shit.

And I hope none of this is sexist, makes me feel like I can empathize a bit more with how females must feel in male dominated fields.
