Alberta Opportunity Stream - Should I Accept?

I recently got invited to apply for AINP under the AOS non express entry. I had applied with EOI for Accelerated Tech Pathway. But given the long processing time of 20 months now, should I accept if I think i may have a chance for the Tech pathway? How has your experience been with AOS? What about extending or getting a new work permit when my current one expires before my application is processed?
