House I like I have a neglected pool

I checked out a house today that looks really good and spacious, and it checks a lot of the boxes I wanted for my first home. The only issue is it has an inground pool that’s clearly been neglected. It was drained, the ground looked cracked, and there was some dirty water sitting in it. I’ve read that pools can be expensive and a headache to fix, so I’m unsure if this is worth pursuing. On the flip side, maybe the pool’s condition could be used as leverage in negotiations. Has anyone dealt with something similar or have advice on whether it’s worth moving forward?
