**Before we start. I like to state that if you downvote this post to the void. Be my guest, allow this post to be more likely not seen be DE staff and allow these issues to continue. I'm spending time and effort in hopes of writing this to help resolve a growing issue with the game.**

This game has a huge issue has been neglected by Digital Extremes for many years: the enemy density.

Now why is enemy density a problem? It affects many mechanics that will take a while to list. To give some brief examples. You may have noticed the following...

* Drastic decrease in enemies spawning in Plague Star that doubles the mission duration from 8 minutes to 20 minutes by squads that know what they are doing.
* The squad reaching the extraction point in 1999 missions and still requiring another half of remaining enemies. It doesn't help that there is another issue were enemies spawn too far away from squad compared to other maps.
* Unable to upkeep certain abilities such as Chroma's Guardian Armour augment mod that requires enough eliminations per seconds.
* Not enough to upkeep efficiency being different for Simaris Sanctuary Onslaught.
* Ever noticed those empty survival maps when doing void fissure missions - to point that the squad is bored and extracts instead of staying more than 1 round when they would had wanted to stay?
* Upkeep differences for Warframe energy reserves when using Equilibrium being drastically different. -Archon Shard is more than enough on high spec, but may need Equilibrium mod when on low spec host platforms.
* Low spec grant less resource drops than those on high spec platforms. - A Resource Booster on a low spec amounts to the same as if the low spec host was on a high spec. This means high spec purchasing a resource booster would get x4 the amount than those on low spec.

**The first response you would state: then upgrade your platform or switch to a better once?**

That's just the thing. What about DE releasing Warframe for Android, iPhone and even Switch? They are pushing this game to hardware that is not meant for this game to be played on. There been reports of iPhones heating up. And since Nintendo are known to have more outdated hardware than the PS4. I fear what the enemy density is for that platform.

Base from the small amount of research I've gathered. The PS4 caps at 20 enemies in Sanctuary Onslaught. While other platforms, I don't know which ones, can reach up to 40. This can be witnessed with Saryn's Spore count.

Yes, yes. I'm aware the Switch 2 has been released. But reports say that the hardware specs are somewhere around between a PS3 and a PS4. Again, DE are releasing a game on hardware that isn't meant for it.

When 3 top end PC players join the a host on low spec hardware. The PC players are going to have a poor experience.

And then there is the issue that some players are not going to upgrade for a long time. I speculate that DE is in hopes to sweeping this issue under the rug and hope the players don't notice. However, a lot of the players, me especially, have noticed.

With the... well, to keep it brief: the drama with Nintendo and the Switch 2. There are also going to be a lot of Switch players not upgrading and some may not want to even change platform. PS4 players even have their own reasons not wanting to upgrade. For example, it's too expensive, people can't afford, the player barely sees much improvements to suggest wanting to upgrade from a 12 year console.

I feel a lot of the issues can be reduced by adding more control for the user matchmaking. For example, allow players to prioritise the game to make them client rather than the host. A lot of players, including myself, feel bad when we host on poor machines and making the experience poor for other players.

Apart from that. I don't really have any other reasonable suggestions.
