Square button stopped working after the latest OS update

Two major problems:

1. After exiting battery Super saver mode, if an alernative home app/launcher is configured to be used, the system always returns to the factory default home app. I've reported it by uploading a video about a year ago. No fix.

2. After the latest OS update, whether in gesture control mode or bottom button control mode, it's impossible to call up the list of running apps. This is a very serios issue as it kills the major multi-tasking functionality. I've never head so serious issues with Huawei Mate P20 or P30 phone updates.
