[advice] Help me find the right watch for my brother

Hey there! I'm planning to purchase a watch for my brother for Christmas this year and wanted to see what recommendations you guys might have.

Here's the general criteria:

• price range up to $750, but can be flexible for the right watch
• mechanical but able to perform within +/- 10 seconds a day
• display case back
• an interesting dial
• open to the big brands or microbrands

Now, I know some obvious choices would be the Tissots with the Powermatic 80 and various Hamilton Khakis, but I just wanted to see what else was out there that I am unaware of.
