[JA>EN] Japanese calligraphy on scarf

Hello!

I have a scarf that features vertical Japanese calligraphy, but the writing is quite stylized and artistic, possibly handwritten or printed in a traditional brushstroke style.

I’ve attached two clear images of the writing from different angles. I'm curious to know what it says — I think it may be a poetic or symbolic phrase.

Any help translating or identifying the characters would be greatly appreciated!
