what’s going on with the subreddit r/ardentsaviorops? hourly cryptic posts for 5 years straight.

So I stumbled on this subreddit called r/ardentsaviorops and it’s honestly one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen.

Every single hour, for the past 5 years, a bot posts an update titled “ARDENT SAVIOR C2 UPDATE”. The posts all have
“CORIUM FIELDS is hands heavy, ranges hot. LYRICAL TEFLONS is hands light, ranges cold. BLANKET ORANGES is hands light, ranges cold. UNSALTED CENOTAPH is hands light, ranges warm.”
and always ends with “All are one, there are no pawns, burn the castle. Jianting Watches.”

So naturally i tried searching it, and another post on reddit had linked a twitter account @calypsosaphire which is even MORE weirder.

Each post looks almost identical, with the title:

And the body always starts with:

What’s inside each post

  • A fixed hex key: 8286ac0e4777ecc2 (never changes).
  • A rotating “injection point” — a 10-digit number that changes every post.
  • Strange codenames: TINY BEAR, QUASAR LANDING, CORIUM FIELDS, BLANKET ORANGES, LYRICAL TEFLONS, UNSALTED CENOTAPH.
  • Classifications like “hands heavy, ranges hot” or “hands light, ranges cold.”
  • A repeated mantra: “All are one, there are no pawns, burn the castle. Jianting Watches.”

Sometimes the posts also drop random four-word phrases like:

  • YARD MIND FISH DRUG
  • WIND MOON RISE TONY
  • HURT MORE GIVE NICK

Other times there are Z-time (UTC) timestamps, e.g.:

  • “Ring start for BLANKET ORANGES will occur at 2000Z29MAY21.”
  • “Crops will be harvested on 2000Z3JUN21.”

And the signature “Jianting Watches” is always there.

TL;DR:
r/ardentsaviorops has been posting hourly “C2 updates” since 2020. Each one has a fixed hex key, a rotating number (that decodes to IPs/timestamps), weird codenames, and always ends with “Jianting Watches.” Sometimes the payload is a four-word code phrase. Nobody interacts with it. Is this an ARG, an art project, or something else entirely?
