Gagging when Barking (loudly)
Female Golden doodle, 2 years old, 18 pounds. Very healthy, vaccinated, full of beans and energy. On K9 Advantix (flea and tick meds) + Interceptor Plus. Regular excercise. Eating well no issues, drinking water no issues. Regular stools and pees no issues. Living in northern Quebec, Canada. No lethargy.
For the past 3-5 days now, our dog has been gagging when barking loudly. It happened more often when it first began - gagging when simply excited like when we got back home from work. Now its only when she barks loudly (see video, google drive link below). We noticed shes been chewing grass strands recently, I am wondering if she may have irritated her throat? I tried (with great difficulty) to see down her throat, I don't see swelling or redness, gums look healthy, tongue looks healthy.
Thanks in advance for any help!
