Middle aged dude here. Years long teammate is now a full-time dad, solo queueing has become insufferable, looking to join/start a club.

Been at this game for 7 years. I even met my best friend through Rocket League; he's a full-time (amazing) dad now so I exclusively solo. I play almost daily but I don't even touch ranked anymore; I hit Champ clear back in OG Season 20 (certainly not a flex lol, just giving an idea of my time played - the actual number is shameful, hahaha). I work. I smoke. I play Rocket League. So my 'Rocket League IQ' and fundaments are pretty solid but you'll never see me doing anything flashy. I'm in my late 30s now and these young whippersnappers come out of the womb doing flip resets and that's just not me, hahaha.

Looking for some middle aged dudes/dudettes to start a club with, or honestly just anyone interested that's in a similar solo queue hellscape. I genuinely still love this game when you party/get paired up with 'smart' players regardless of the outcome of the match. But soloing and a lack of comms (with the rare exception of 'clicking' with someone solo and not needing them) has lead my typically introverted self here. I just really miss playing with people that know rotations and placement, regardless of their mechanical skillset, and having to constantly adjust match to match is too much for my withered Rocket League heart.

I know there are Discord groups and things, but this subreddit has always been a good vibe when I interact with it so figured I'd start here. Feel free to shoot me a message if you're interested!

Edit: When I say 'smart' players I'm not trying to put anyone down, I just mean players that have game sense and a solid idea of rotations that usually only comes with thousands of matches.
