Why the fvck are all the attacks delayed

New to elden ring guys, just bought the game couple a days ago and im at gatefront ruins practising my parry and i gotta ask why in the 7 hells are ALL the atks so delayed. My anxiety can not wait that long as smone who has played bloodborne i wanna kill myself for not able to parry consistently in elden ring.

Also i beat the first boss and tree sentinal at lvl 1 without upgrades or anything hehe
