Not enough of a fan to be in the away end?

Question

Hi everyone, i was lucky enough to get a ticket for the game on tuesday when it dropped down to red members. I fell in love with the club shortly after i started watching games by myself, that was about 15 years ago.

As i live in mainland Europe, i've only been able to attend a couple of games so far. I've been to an away game, although seated with the home fans. While pre-drinking and partying with the other travelling fans, i noticed how extatic most of our travelling fans were, shouting songs at the top of their lungs, that i had never heard of before. When making conversation with others, they usually only asked questions as "how many games have you been to? do you hold a season ticket?" etc.

Today i just forgot about the game against Forrest, havent even watched the highlights yet. Right now all of this makes me feel like a fraud, who shouldnt have bought that ticket. Could have gone to someone who deserves it more. Unfortunately this ticket is non-transferrable, so i can either book a flight and hostel tomorrow, and drag myself to the game while i feel like shit, or leave the seat empty, which makes me feel even worse about myself.

I feel like a big crybaby and need to man up, dont i? Do any of you have similar experiences? Maybe a seasoned fan can talk me through the away end experience?
