A look back: Hilaria pretends the kids follow a behavior system
If you've ever wondered if Hilaria ever REALLY tries to make her kids to behave, check out this 2019 Rachael Ray Show clip. Daphne was telling an audience member how to make a rewards system for a five year old kid, based on how Daphne parents her own young children. Then Hilaria stepped in to share she has a system for her own kids (at the time 6, 4, 3 and 1). And it's the most unnecessarily ridiculous setup:
-All day Hilaria hands out patches to the kids who are doing good. Then the patches get deposited into a (apparently communal) basket.
-The kids also get to hand out patches to each other.
-The patches are counted at the end of the day, after bath time.
-Hilaria gives out one penny per patch. But she gives each kid the same amount of pennies by rounding up, so everything is supposedly fair and even.
-The reward pennies then go into each kid's individual plastic container.
-The kids get to buy a toy every time they earn 100 pennies. Hilaria says toys obviously cost more than that, but she "exchanges" the money. And then the kids start fresh.
I don't have kids, but even I thought Hilaria either made up that story or the nannies just tell Hilaria "Sure, Mrs. Baldwin. We play the patch game all day. Whatever."
